The Christian Food Bank of Hopkins County is a nonprofit Christian organization that shares Jesus' love through the gift of food. Your donations help us meet real needs in our community.

Current Needs

We're currently collecting: canned vegetables, dried beans, peanut butter, soup, canned meat/tuna, canned pasta, ramen noodles, canned fruit, pork and beans, mac and cheese, pasta, rice, stuffing, cereal, flour and sugar, instant potatoes, cake mix and icing, and Ensure and protein drinks.

How to Donate

Bring donations to the church office or leave them in the narthex during worship. Every gift makes a difference in someone's life.

Peanut butter is not only good on sandwiches and chocolate bars and crackers and a million other things, it's good for you! Peanut butter is a great source of protein, so our Mission and Outreach Committee has promised to deliver a ton of peanut butter to the Christian Food Bank of Hopkins County each month (just kidding). There is a basket in the narthex for individual jars, but if you need a forklift to unload your donation, you should probably call ahead. The CFB will take either smooth or crunchy, and they're not picky about the brand. We hope you'll join us in this ministry!

We are proud to support Hopkins County Happy Feet, a local organization that provides new, properly fitting shoes to students in our community. By helping children have comfortable shoes and greater confidence, Happy Feet supports their dignity and ability to learn. It is one more way we can care for our youngest neighbors and help them put their best foot forward.

We partner with the Family Resource and Youth Services Centers at our local schools, offering support wherever it is needed most. That may mean passing out popsicles, serving at special school meals, reading with children, tutoring and mentoring students, or collecting coats, school supplies, and other essentials.

Our goal is to be a dependable, go-to support for students, families, teachers, and staff—ready to show up, lend a hand, and help our schools care well for every child.

In 1990 the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group, "Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat." Since that day over $200 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around the Big Game into the nation's largest celebration of giving and serving.

Through this mission, young people learn what it's like to make a positive difference in the world - as they collect food, raise money, and volunteer to work in charities that provide shelter to the homeless, food to the hungry, and compassion to those in need. Be a part of this movement that is sharing God's love with those in need. Please give generously on Super Bowl Sunday. Every can of soup and every dollar donated at FPC go to the Christian Food Bank of Hopkins County.

Pick up a fish coin box at the church and bring it back on Easter Sunday. As you add coins, say a prayer for all who will receive help from your generosity. This offering supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and assists in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

We here at PACS are thinking about our youth and the upcoming school year. Our goal is to help as many students as we can return to school with self-confidence and peace of mind. We are starting our Back to School Fundraising Program and your substantial contributions in the past have been much appreciated. We are anticipating to assist approximately 500 students in Hopkins County with their back to school apparel and supplies. It is because of your compassionate heart and soul that we have been able to help our youth in this capacity over the past 60 plus years.
