March Youth News

marchThanks for all the ways you support our Youth Programs at FPC!  If you’re a Kroger shopper, did you know that you could be helping fund our youth groups just by shopping there?  The Kroger Community Rewards Program is now tied to your Kroger Plus Card.  If you don't have a Kroger Plus Card, you can sign up for one at any Kroger Customer Service Desk.  Once you have your Kroger Plus card, you are ready to register for the Community Rewards Program online.

Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com to set that up and look for First Presbyterian Church Youth.  You can also go to our church website and under the Kid’s tab choose Kroger Community Rewards for detailed instructions.  You can also use your Kroger app, go to your account, and set it up there.  If you need any help please contact me and I will get you signed up.  Thanks so much!

Please be in prayer for the upcoming Chrysalis #62 March 27-29.  Our community is blessed to have this opportunity for our high school students.  If you know someone who is a sophomore through senior in high school and might be interested in attending, please see me for applications or go to https://www.madisonvillechrysalis.com for forms.  Haley Cope and I will be serving on the team.

In Christ's Love,

June Youth News

juneCongratulations to our seniors, Ashlee Goodwin, Dy Kimbrew, Cheradon White, Kaleb White, Makayla Stone and Taya Clary on their graduation.  Thanks to all who came out to support them during the fundraiser meal for our youth.  Aimee Smiley and Sean McCance won the sweet treats and grilled meats trophies for their contributions.  A big thank you goes out to everyone who provided a sweet treat or a grilled meat.  Everyone was well fed!  It is such an awesome experience to witness how much this church continues to support our youth and to encourage them to know the power of God’s love and truth.

Our High School Mission Trip with the Presbytery of Western Kentucky is June 22-29.  This year we'll be going to Lithia, Florida and serving the Beth-El Farmworkers Ministry in Wimauma, Florida.  Please pray for Haley Cope, Dee Allen and Hunter Harris as we serve these good folks and lean into God’s purpose and promise for our lives.

The Presbytery of Western Kentucky middle school experience, City Sights/City Lights, is July 9-11.  This will be a 48 hour mission experience held at the Brain Injury Adventure Camp in Robards, KY.  We will be sprucing up the camp to get it ready for those coming to experience its ministry, which is a very good one.  This mission experience is open to rising 6th grade through rising 9th grade students, and the cost is $45.  Rob can get you more details if you’re interested in participating.
