Girlfriends Unlimited At First Presbyterian Church

Girlfriends Unlimited at First Presbyterian Church is a place for all women to connect in friendships and in life. Girlfriends Unlimited is a part of an international ministry/movement that is now happening in churches and communities all over the country and beyond! Take a peek with us inside the world of Girlfriends Unlimited and see how you can become a part of something that is significant and fun!

Why Girlfriends?

We are all little girls inside with different faces and at different seasons and stages of life. As "little girls" we still want to have fun, giggle, and be validated for who we are. Girlfriends Unlimited is that safe place for women to belong, get connected, and do life together. As women, we all need other women in our lives for emotional support, encouragement, and prayer.

What is Girlfriends Unlimited At First Presbyterian Church

This is not an exclusive club or group! It is open to all women and it exists as a fresh approach for women's ministry in reaching out to women inside and outside the church walls. It is all about relationships!

Are you looking for a permission slip for fun and a way to get connected with others? How about permission to explore and discover who God created you to be? Maybe you're looking for a place to share your interests and talents? We want to give women permission slips to have fun, get involved, learn, grow, and experience the freedom to be who God created you to be!

What Does Girlfriends Unlimited At First Presbyterian Church Offer?

 G! Events

Every year we have a large event called, G! Event, which is themed and includes pampering, grazing food, crafts, demonstrations, games, entertainment, and an element of surprise! You don't want to miss this event (and it's the perfect place to invite your neighbors and coworkers). It's also a great place to meet new women and form new friendships. Psst...We'll do all the work while you have a blast and make memories!

 Girlfriends Night Out

Once a month, usually the third Thursday, we have our Monthly Themed Event that is for women to gather more frequently for fun and friendships. You'll experience crafts, games, special demonstrations, scrap-booking, and more. No two evening are the same - we like to mix it up so you won't get bored! Bring along some girlfriends or come alone.

 Shared Interest Clubs (G! Groups)

We also hope to start a variety of shared interest groups called G! Groups, which will give women an opportunity to connect with other women who share the same interests. We have to have a Gaming Club, a Scrap-Booking Club, a Movie Club, a Book Club, an Eat-Out Club, and more. Of course, these are not their real names as that would be too ordinary. We plan to organize Gamin'Gals, Sassy Scrappers, Flicker Chicks, Lit'n Lattes, and Cuisine Queens and other.

More Than Fun

Don't mistake that Girlfriends Unlimited is just about the fun! We believe that women who laugh and giggle together also feel more free to share their hearts with one another and open up if they want. Our ultimate goal is to lead women to a relationship with Jesus Christ and encourage a deeper relationship with him for those who already know him. It is all about the relationship in life: with each other and with Jesus!

How Can You Get Involved?

Participate and Attend an Event:

G! Events, Girlfriends' Nights out, G-Groups, and whatever else we come up with!

Get Involved With a Purpose:

Do you have a special interest you'd like to share and get others involved in? (We encourage two women to lead together, it makes it more fun!) Do you like adventure, crafts, decorating, or cooking?  We want to be open to ideas and ways to get women involved and connected. This is your special invitation to join us and be a part of something that is making a difference in women's lives!
