Lon Lorton, Senior Pastor

"Pat and I both grew up in rural Midwestern Illinois, less than ten miles from each other, but we never met until a blind date over tacos with mutual friends.  God put something powerful in that taco seasoning - thirty-eight years later now and we're still together!  We have two daughters, who along with our terrific sons-in-law have gifted us with four wonderful grandchildren.  Pat and I enjoy camping, canoeing, and being with the family as much as possible.  But to be honest, we spend most of our time with our church family - worshiping, fellowshipping, and learning more about each other and God.  Life is good; God's blessings are abundant!"

Lon and Pat have been at First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville since 2001.

Rob Wilson, Associate and Youth Pastor

"Denise and I have been married 15 years. We are blessed to have our son, Brad, and our daughter-in-law Katie living in Evansville, IN. They are still newlyweds and we are so proud of them. We see them as often as we can and spoil our new grand pup Zoe, a Jack Russell terrier, whenever we get the chance. Denise and I have been involved in the Great Banquet and Chrysalis communities for over 12 years. We have been involved in the life of this church from youth to adults. Our hearts lean more toward youth, but the health of families is what's most important to Denise and me. We know that families, by God’s design, are healthier when there are strong marriages built on the foundation of Jesus as Savior and Lord. We enjoy going to Florida whenever we can. We enjoy shelling, taking long walks, relaxing, and just spending time together. We also enjoy reading, board games, golf, good food, walking, traveling, and times together with family and friends. Denise is an RN with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care and Surgery.  She is now working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. I am so proud of her and who she is, not just to Brad and me, but to all those around her to whom she ministers. I worked nearly 20 years for the same company before being called into full time ministry at this church.  I have served as a Commissioned Lay Pastor with opportunities to minister to youth and adults for the past two years. If you could describe the relationships between Denise and me, and between this church and us in just a few words, they would be “More in love today than 15 years ago because of God’s great love given to us."  We are truly blessed and content.”
